Tournament Select – This program is for players with considerable USTA and high school tournament experience.  Players must have either a district ranking or the approval of Tennis Director Chris Shaya for entrance to this group.  This intensive program highlights competitive drills, stroke production, tactics, strategy, on-court conditioning targeting speed, agility and quickness, and match play.

BT Elite – This special invite-only class is dedicated to helping accomplished Midwestern tournament players realize their full potential both on and off the court.  We don’t just produce players who can hit, we produce athletes who can play.  We have assembled and trained the finest staff in the area to provide Elite students with the most comprehensive training program available.  BT Elite classes are under the direction of Tennis Director Chris Shaya and Junior Director Paco Trinidad.  Students must have a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of at least 7.5 or higher to be considered for this class.

Level 1 – The Level 1 class for beginners uses a 36-foot court, and works on the basic motor fundamentals of tennis such as balance and movement.  Emphasized are proper handling of a racket, building rallies through throwing and catching, counting tasks, learning to keep score and tapping the ball.  Level 1 uses Red Ball and is offered as a 1-hour class.

Level 2 – Continuing on the 36-foot court, the Level 2 class teaches each basic stroke with a simple grip.  Players focus on building rallies and understanding tennis concepts (e.g. balls in or out).  Level 2 uses Red Ball and is offered as a 1-hour class.

Level 3 – Introducing the 78-foot court, concentration in Level 3 is centered on finishing the swing, learning longer strokes, coordinating swings in all forms, directing the ball, keeping score and understanding the rules of the game.  Spin and volleys are also introduced.  Students begin to learn tennis etiquette as well as the importance of integrity and sportsmanship to the game.  Level 3 uses Orange Ball and is offered as a 2-hour class.

Level 4 – The Level 4 class emphasizes competitive skills such as developing full swings combined with the use of spin, coordinating movement of both arms during the serve, changing direction and depth on strokes and moving effectively at different speeds.  Level 4 uses Green Dot Ball and is offered as a 2-hour class.

Level 5 – The Level 5 class addresses the refinement of skill both mental and physical including:  adopting different stances and strokes based on varying shot types, changing spins and speeds, spin on the serve, improving movement through off-court training and developing tactical game plans.  Level 5 uses Green Dot Ball and is offered as a 2-hour class.
